I played the tutorial of this game and I still felt completly lost! The tutorial only teaches you the very basics, like what each key does.
From what I gathered, you are dropped into a stage where you've got to do...SOMETHING!
Either kill every enemy in a stage or collect all the smiling glowing yellow flowers. You can collect the souls from enemies which you can use as projectlies.
You got 5 minutes to do whatever and if the time runs out you die.
When a stage is complete you can press the F key to open a portal to a room with a slot machine where you can spend the souls you collected in temporary buffs to your character. You can press the E key to go straight to the next stage, but sometimes there's an error and the stage doesn't finish and you get a new objective that's sometimes optional and you can eject out of the stage without doing it and sometimes you can't.
Other times your soul collecting weapon will say "ERROR" and the timer will sometimes stop (Sometimes it won't) and you'll have to platform through some stage to get some buffs or you'll have to run through an obstacle course before a creppy face catches you.
I dunno when it's in my best interest to spend the souls on buffs or just go to the next stage or spend them as projectlies.
Playing this game feels like you're a little kid who doesn't know how to swim, someone then throws you into a swiming pool and expects you to figure it out on your own as you are desperately trying not to drown!
@YugoTokusatsu the tutorial has been overhauled, let us know if your experience is better!
