It’s 2025, and I have finally decided to emerge from my silence to make a new thing. ODDCORE. A retro boomer shooter with a liminal “dream core” theme. A new game from our studio @ScarecrowArts
The game has been in meaningful development for a few months now (with a solid 5 months of just messing around trying to figure out what we're making), but I can say it is ready for people to try.
I’m not going to fill this post with a huge devlog of the project, that may come later if there's an interest for it. The main point of this is to raise awareness to those who may be interested in playing and providing feedback. Try the FREE DEMO!
Currently only a Windows build is available, but it has controller support to those who play on Steam Deck, etc. If you are into simple boomer shooter type games (Ultrakill style mixed with Crab Champions gameplay) you may find this fun. Or you may think it sucks. Both of which let me know, don’t be too nice.
If you do find it fun, PLEASE WISHLIST. This is super important to the longevity of the Steam page and its relationship to the almighty algorithm.
